20 Facts About Sybill Trelawney (HP, 392 words, PG)
Title: 20 Random Facts About Sybill Trelawney
Rating: PG
Word Count: 392 words
A/N: Written for the Harry Potter Random Facts Fest.

  1. Cassandra Trelawney suffered from major aphasia. When she told her great-granddaughter that her daughter would be another Seer, what she'd meant to do was ask for another beer.

  2. All the Trelawney mothers put sherry in the milk to keep the babies quiet.

  3. Trelawney's often saw things, especially in the bottom of bottles.

  4. While at school, Sybill was transported, via magical accident, to America. She was Herbert's High School shot-put champion for three years.

  5. It would only have been two, but she got held back. Sybill could never get the hang of Muggle money with its strange multiples of ten.

  6. And since roller coasters made her sick, she's never actually looked in her Gringotts vault to see exactly how much she'd made investing in apples.

  7. Sybill spoke a hundred and twenty seven true prophecies in her life.

  8. She doesn't remember any of them.

  9. And since a hundred and nineteen were made while on the toilet, neither does anyone else.

  10. Sybill is a natural blonde, but colours her hair.

  11. She has pierced nipples.

  12. And a secret love of tattoos.

  13. Sybill once briefly dated Snape, but dumped him when it turned out he was only after her "prophecies". (She makes the quote marks with her fingers when she says this to people.)

  14. Though she often considered it, Sybill never dated Albus Dumbledore. (Though he did once buy her a sweet sherry in the Hog's Head.)

  15. The whole Voldemort / Harry "prophecy" was actually told to her by a time-travelling Ginny Weasley, with whom she had a brief fling during the Wicker Man ceremony at Summerisle in 1974. (Later, she accidentally locked the island's owner in his own burning effigy and was banned from the island.)

  16. Hogwarts talks to Sybill, but it's very boring, so she doesn't listen much.

  17. The portrait of Phineas is a very good conversationalist and her best source of gossip.

  18. The House Elves fall somewhere in the middle. Sybill feels bad for starting Winky on the butterbeer.

  19. Sybill hates low places and tall men, which is why teaching small children up in a high tower is her perfect job.

  20. She was Firenze all along. She'll take the secret of who was in the rear end of the costume with her to her grave.

*sniggers* Well, that explains an awful lot!
